A wonderful drink that originated in Brazil using local produce and introducing to the world, its native spirit called Cachaca made from fermented sugarcane juice. Here we demonstrate the traditional method of making this drink, but if you substitute the Cachaca for Cointreau, it also makes a superb mixture.
Cut lime into small pieces and muddle with the spirit and sugar.
Add ice and put into shaker.
Shake until cold then pour unstrained into tumbler and with fresh crushed ice and serve with straws.
