A take-off of the original cocktail created by that famous Scotsman, Harry MacElhone in 1922, It was then called "Princess Mary" and made with gin, not brandy, in honour of H.R.H. Princess Mary's marriage to Lord Lascelles. It was later popularized with cognac and this version has stood the test of time. Harry MacElhone became famous for opening Harry's Bar in Paris.
Shake all ingredients with ice and pour into a small chilled cocktail style glass.
Dust with nutmeg.
