Toddy
30ml Scotch Whisky
10ml lemon juice
75ml boiling water
1 tsp honey
1 tsp sugar
2 cloves
1 cinnamon stick

Note:
Scotch can be
substituted for rum or brandy.

Perhaps the most popular method of curing a cold for grown-ups in Scotland. The Toddy has been around for hundreds of years and has proven to cure most ailments and even help towards convalescing in some cases, Ask any Scotsman.  
Pour honey and sugar into a heat resisting glass and dissolve with a little boiling water.
Stir in lemon juice and whisky and top with more boiling water.
Add cloves and cinnamon stick.
Drink as warm as possible without burning lips.
Decorate/Garnish with lemon slice and cinnamon stick.
